Peugeot 207i is the same as 206 Plus for the African and South American markets. This car is sold in a limited way in the European market and is known as 207 in the market of countries like Iran and China. Of course, Iran Khodro and Peugeot chose the name “207i” for this car in the country’s market. Before the start of the first round of American sanctions and the withdrawal of Peugeot from the Iranian market, the 207i was offered in two types, gear and automatic. Peugeot 207 first hit the streets in 2009. The prototype of this hatchback was produced in Iran Khodro until 2011, and the dependence of the original model on foreign parts was more than the current version.

One of the most important features of the first series Peugeot 207i was having the original PSA electrical system in it, which faced far fewer errors than the current models, and on the other hand, it could be upgraded. For example, it was possible (and still possible) to officially equip the Peugeot 207i first series with gear and automatic models with an electric stability control system, light and rain sensor, front side airbag, cruise control, and Speed ​​limiter.

After Peugeot left the Iranian market, the production of 207i was stopped. With the signing of the JCPOA agreement and the return of Peugeot, Iran Khodro Company unveiled the Peugeot 207i facelift model at the 2014 Iran Automobile Industry Capabilities Exhibition. This car was updated in the light bowl, side mirrors, steering wheel, middle console, and some other components and had a more attractive appearance than the previous model. Later, the automatic model of this car was also introduced to the market, which was able to have good competition with Renault Sandro Pars Khodro. Daytime running light, official cruise control, touch screen, Bluetooth, DVD playback, sensor and rear camera, navigation and service management, guide on the mirrors, satellite navigation, etc. are among the facilities that complete the Peugeot 207i facelift compared to They were prototypes.

This car, which had many similarities with the French model in the nose section, was criticized at the beginning of its release due to the general public’s lack of familiarity with Peugeot’s new design language in those years, and its front face was compared to some insects!
Everything was going according to plan until the 207 production was stopped in 2011 due to a wave of Western sanctions against Iran and Peugeot’s departure from the country.

But this was not the end of the story. In 1995, along with rumors of Peugeot’s return to Iran, a new model of the 207 was unveiled by Iran Automobiles; This version, which is still in the production line, included changes such as new front and rear lights, the addition of daylight, the addition of a monitor and a new steering wheel.

These changes were enough to make 207 the most attractive domestic hatchback or in other words Iranian-French.

Peugeot 207 Manual models 2017 to 2022 have various class codes 6002 to 6007, 60010, and 60011. All the codes of the mentioned classes have a TU5 engine with a maximum power of 105 horsepower and a torque of 142 Nm, and their gearbox is a 5-speed manual. The main differences between these code classes are related to the optional part of the car; For example, class code 60004 has a rear disc brake and this code does not have cruise control along with code 60005.
The class codes 60003, 60006, and 60010 have electric steering and the class code 60004 and 60010 have a glass roof.
It should be noted that the class code 60011 is also devoid of aluminum rims and has 14-inch steel rims.

Among the gear class codes, code 60010 can be considered the most complete gear type of this car with a glass roof, cruise control, aluminum rims, and electric steering wheel.

Peugeot 207 automatic

Peugeot 207 automatic has the same 1.6-liter TU5 engine and its gearbox is AL4 automatic 4-speed.
This car is available with class codes 60102,60104, 60108, and 60109. The difference between these code classes, like the example of gear, is only summarized in some facilities.
In class code 109, we see the use of rear cup brakes and there is no news of aluminum rims, but what is interesting is that this model is equipped with a glass roof next to code 104!

The most complete code of the 207 automatic class should be considered 60104. This class code has aluminum rims, glass roof, cruise control, power steering, and rear disc brakes.

Peugeot 207 MC

The latest version of Peugeot 207 should be considered as the second version of this car. This small hatchback with the suffix MC, in addition to the appearance changes, has also undergone extensive and positive changes in the technical department.
The engine of this car has been upgraded to the TU5 Plus model;

The same engine that is used in Tara automatic gear and Rana Plus with a glass roof. The TU5 plus engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 113 hp and a torque of 144 Nm. The Peugeot 207 Durang gearbox is also a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and this gearbox is the same as the Tara automatic gearbox.
Peugeot 207 Durang has red decorative parts and a red roof and is available only with class code 60602.

There have been some changes in the option and trim section, including red decorative parts, leather steering wheel, car trunk lighting system, six-speed manual driver’s seat, and black rims.

In 2016, with the introduction of the final version of the Peugeot 207i with a box, features such as electric power steering and electric folding side mirrors were added to the sedan model of this economy car. However, despite the completeness of the Peugeot 207i’s features and the quality reports of ISQI, due to the Iranization of the electrical systems (this happened mostly in gear models) and the increase in the depth of interior construction, some customers are not completely satisfied with this car. At the 2017 Tehran Auto Show, Iran Khodro Company also introduced the 207i with a glass roof. But unlike the hatchback model, the pre-sale of the Peugeot 207i panoramic cashier has not started yet.

Codes 60020, 60021, and 60022 are new versions of 207 manual gears. These cars still have the TU5 engine and produce 105 horsepower with a torque of 142 Nm. The new Peugeot 207 three-speed gearbox is still a 5-speed manual.

In all three of these 207 types, new features such as GSI gear shift indicator, tire pressure monitoring sensor, electric stability control system, and hill start control system have been added. Features such as two airbags, cruise control, touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, lamp replacement, daytime running lights, automatic air conditioning, parking sensor and reverse camera, fabric interior trim, etc. are among the common features among these three new models. Not long ago, the competition council announced the factory price of Peugeot 207 upgraded manual transmission and panorama with class code 60023 as 423 million and 131 thousand tomans. Of course, Iran Khodro has not published the specifications of this model. However, it can be predicted that Peugeot 207 Panorama gear with class code 60021 will have a price close to the competition council’s pricing.
